Jesse Averna | Daytime Emmy Winner
School of Visual Arts alumnus Jesse Averna (BFA 2008 Film and Video) took home an Emmy for his editing work on the 2010 season of the beloved PBS kids’ show Sesame Street. The award was for Outstanding Achievement in Multiple Camera Editing, an honor Averna received with his supervising editors Todd James and Tim Carter, as well as co-editors Rafael Parra and John Tierney. The 38th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards were held at the Las Vegas Hilton and aired Sunday, June 19 on CBS.
Presented by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, the Daytime Emmy is one of the most prestigious awards in the business, recognizing excellence in all fields of daytime broadcasting.
