Colleen Atwood | Hollywood Costume Designer

Colleen Atwood, Cornish art alum and Academy Award winning costume designer, recently designed costumes for two major films. She’s featured in a number of interviews around the country about Snow White and the Huntsman and Dark Shadows.

From Yakima, Colleen Atwood, studied art at Cornish in the 70’s before moving to New York to study at New York University, where she began her film career. Since then Colleen has become one of the leading costume designers in Hollywood, having worked on over 50 films in her career. She has been awarded three Academy Awards for Best Costume Design for her work in Chicago (2002), Memoirs of a Geisha (2006), and Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland (2011), with whom she is a frequent collaborator.
